This master bath received a bright and classic makeover from J Hill Interiors using unique tile patterns, bold blue cabinets and PentalQuartz in Venatino. The coastal Coronado, CA location is reflected in the design with beachy accents and polished white surfaces that fill the space with light.
For the 10’ long custom cabinet piece, “the owners specifically requested one trough sink and ample countertop space in lieu of a typical double vanity,” says Jessica Tompane, Owner and Principal Designer at J Hill Interiors. PentalQuartz in Venatino was used on all of the horizontal surfaces of the bathroom including the tub surround, vanity, shower bench and shower threshold, bringing flashes of marble veining to the bright white quartz surface. Using the same material throughout gives the space continuity and a sleek, custom appeal.
Bold geometric mosaic tiles give life to both the main floor and shower floor. Traditional white subway tile continues through the rest of the shower and bath areas alternating with brick and chevron patterns for added texture and movement. Mixing metals – gold and polished nickel – in the fixtures and hardware softens the modern palette with vintage appeal.
