Hillsboro Modern Farmhouse

Stormy blue shaker cabinetry brings a dark luxury to this modern farmhouse kitchen designed by Hannah Hacker at Adapt Design, LLC.

PentalQuartz in Misterio was used through the island and perimeter countertops bringing durability, stain-resistance and elegance to a kitchen designed to perform. Misterio brightens the look with subtle marble veining through the countertops and backsplash. Crisp white shiplap extends to the ceiling, filling the feature wall with texture. Using open shelving instead of upper cabinets allows for a curated selection of rustic d├ęcor, kitchen accessories and dinnerware to be prominently displayed.

Without sacrificing the clean and modern design, the playful farmhouse style continues with a large apron sink and subtle cowhide print on the barstools. Three Westminster lantern pendants hang over an elongated island. To break up the length, the island is split into functional zones for storage, preparation and in-kitchen seating for four.

Behind a barn door, the design continues through to the master bathroom with coordinating cabinets, shiplap, open shelving and Misterio countertops.
