This home, custom built for a busy, young family by Tall Pines Construction, overlooks the mountains of Park City, Utah. While the clients desired a clean, modern and functional space, they also understood the importance of maintaining a connection to the local area and stunning nature that surrounded them. Designer Christa Pirl crafted interiors for the home with warmth, texture and natural tones, for a modern and welcoming finish.
The kitchen is a mountain modern marvel with clean lines, high-end fixtures and PentalQuartz countertops in Statuario. Statuario, with its warm, sable tones, pairs perfectly with the textured wooden cabinets for a look of all natural materials. The large-scale veining pattern creates a dramatic waterfall edge on the island. Simple glass globe pendants maintain open views towards the mountains but also draw attention to the island’s sculptural shape. Barstools with dark grey and white echo the grey of the stainless steel range hood and the glossy white countertops, bringing contrast to the space.
On the backsplash, a glass subway tile in a shade of pale taupe blends with the cabinets and wall color. For a similar look, try ModaVetro glass tile in Oxygen. In a modern stacked layout, the tile lends added patterning to the sleek design.
