Mixing It Up With Misterio

San Diego-based Del Sur Designs transformed this large kitchen into a contemporary chef’s masterpiece with limited updates including the countertops, tile and fixtures. Working with the kitchen’s existing cabinets, appliances and range hood, the result is a unique mix of metals, woods and colors that reduced the cost of the renovation while adding to the personality of the finished space.

PentalQuartz in Misterio brought more light and a contemporary white marble look into the space in place of dark, dated countertops. The generous 5×10’ island was made with a single XL slab of PentalQuartz for a seamless installation. The large countertop surface provides room for a prep sink and at the clients request, plenty of space for baking, decorating cakes and entertaining. The kitchen was polished off with a colorful blue Spanish tile backsplash, open shelving, trim, new paint and updated light fixtures to create a welcoming space for this California family to gather.
