In this bright, West Hartford, CT bathroom by Kitchen & Bath Design + Construction, PentalQuartz in Statuario adds the look of natural white marble with flashes of sable colored veining. Featuring vintage-look materials alongside contemporary elements like a barn door and a glass shower, the design gives a fresh new look while maintaining elements of the home’s 1950’s character.
The white palette makes the long footprint of the space feel open and bright with a mix of materials and patterns to keep up the visual interest. By expanding the bathroom into a nearby closet, space was made for a large walk-in shower with a frameless glass shower door. Bright white subway tile on the walls of the shower brings a traditional feel with a more modern 2” marble hex tile running through the floor of the bathroom. The shower bench and threshold, also made with Statuario PentalQuartz, adds to the luxury of the space. White shaker cabinetry through the vanity and storage area is timeless paired with polished nickel hardware and fixtures.
