Traditional Turns Modern

In this gorgeous renovation by Los Angeles-based 3Angle Designs, countertops in PentalQuartz Misterio, a stacked subway tile backsplash and mixed black and white cabinetry turn a traditional single story 1940’s kitchen into a bright and modern space. The high-contrast design is a collection of clean lines and modern fixtures – sleek brass hardware, custom shaker cabinetry and  open shelving. Matte black is incorporated in multiple areas throughout the home to create a bold contrast between the cool whites.

A waterfall edge on the peninsula with open shelving above creates a welcoming seating area while also connecting the space to the to the adjacent dining area.

The black and white palette is warmed with flooring, furniture and finishes coordinated in matching wood tones.
