The owners of this View Ridge home needed more space for their growing family, but loved their neighborhood. Instead of moving, they opted to expand their existing home by adding approximately 2,000 square feet. With design help from Pam Melin at Considered Space, LLC they were able to transform their 1940’s home into a more functional and stylish space.
White kitchen cabinetry and white subway tile backsplash are counterbalanced by dark hardwood flooring. The perimeter counters are topped with PentalQuartz in Avenue Grey, while a large island is the focal point of the room. A slab of Opal Silver Satin Quartzite from Pental tops the island and provides an overhang to accommodate seating. Remnant pieces of the quartzite from the kitchen were used to make two small tables; one for the entryway and another for the dining room.
White cabinets continue into the new master bathroom, offsetting warm-toned tile that covers the heated floor and extends into the large walk-in glass shower. PentalQuartz in Super White tops the double vanity and elegant split-face granite provides a calming backsplash and shower accent. Brushed nickel hardware adds an elegant touch and coordinates with towel warmers to finish the space.
